The Alliance4Life, an association of twelve leading life science institutions and universities from eleven EU Member States located in Central and Eastern Europe, addresses the academic and scientific community as well as EU institutions and EU members states with the following position on the aggression against Ukraine.
Alliance4Life condemns in strongest possible terms the aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and its continuation.
Alliance4Life equally condemns the reaction of the Russian Rectors’ Conference and expresses hope that this does not reflect the views held by academic community at large in Russia.
Alliance4Life calls upon EU institutions and member states to provide adequate and efficient mechanisms of qualification recognition and continuation of education to people who fled from Ukraine.
Alliance4Life calls upon EU institutions and member states to provide financial support to research institutions in EU member states willing to host academic colleagues from Ukraine.
Alliance4Life invites its members to engage in activities to further support Ukraine and to coordinate, for that purpose, among European alliances and networks.
