Open day at the Center for Obesity Management and the Center for Physical Activity

The Biomedical Research Center of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, v. v. i. (BMC SAS) cordially invites visitors to an open day at the BMC SAS Center for Obesity Management and the BMC SAS Center for Physical Activity on March 4, 2025, as part of the World Obesity Day.

The event will take place at the Center for Obesity Management on the ground floor of the Pavilion of Medical Sciences, as well as in the foyer and in the Center for Physical Activity on the ground floor of the building of the Institute of Virology of the BMC SAS on the premises of the SAS in Patrónka, Bratislava, from 1 p.m. to 4 p. m.. It will include nutritional counselling, body composition measurements, demonstrations of workouts in the Center for Physical Activity, muscle strength measurements and motor tests.

Subsequently, on 12 March, from 2 p. m. to 4 p. m., lectures on obesity pharmacotherapy and bariatric surgery will be held in the Dionýz Blaškovič Lecture Hall in the building of the Institute of Virology of the BMC SAS.

Admission to both events is free.
