Bioimaging Laboratory
Bioimaging laboratory contains a range of instrumentation and equipment providing wide possibilities of processing, imaging, and analysis of various kinds of biological samples. The laboratory includes several types of microscopes for the acquisition of images of cell cultures and tissue samples in native state as well as fluorescently stained, live cell imaging is also possible. The histological part of the laboratory enables complex processing of tissue samples, from the fixation up to final histological/immunohistochemical analyses. Several steps of the samples processing are fully automated. Integrated optical in vivo image system with microCT (IVIS Spectrum CT) allows the acquisition of bioluminiscent and fluorescent signal in small laboratory animals combined with computer tomography. The equipment is complemented with the anethesia unit. The system also provides software tools for quantitative analysis of acquired images.
